"China has declared its intent to send a man to the moon, aiming to become the first nation to reach the lunar surface since the last American mission in 1972. 7:00AM GMT 30 Dec 2011

A white paper published on Thursday laid out the country's five-year plan for the development on new satellites, spacecraft and a space station and provided the official confirmation of China's lunar ambitions.

The landing is not expected until at least 2020 but under the government's blueprints "new technological breakthroughs" in human space flight will be achieved by 2016..."

China declares plans for mission to the moon Empty Re: China declares plans for mission to the moon

Post  qmantoo Sun Sep 30, 2012 10:30 am

I am afraid you wont get any pictures from them. They have kept things very close to their chest after launching the 2x chang'e craft. Nothing has been released apart from a few Press releases with the old man pointing to pictures and they dont show much at all.

I am subscribed to their releases and nothing has arrived yet and I am still waiting, and waiting, and waiting....

The same with the India mission. There were 40,000+ images taken but none have been released as far as I can tell. Certainly nothing like 40,000 and some sources say there were a lot more taken before the spacecraft mysteriously malfunctioned. I have joined the indian space agency forum and no-one replies officially to any of the posts. Frustrating.

The Japanese mission took lots of HD video and there are some images taken from this, however, I dont know how "high Definition" they are supposed to be, 'cos they aren't very HD as far as I can tell. Lots of fuzzyness.

The whole space thing is a joke really.

Oh... by the way, China have just recently started their own space station and sent astronauts up there. We saw the images on TV although some of the spacecraft launch was interspersed with CGI "make-believe" (rather like the 2008 Olympic fireworks!) Similar to NASA, they were careful not to show any space which may show stars though.

Qmantoo, thank you for such an insightful post, and welcome to Signal! You share my frustration, to be sure! I really look forward to your posts, and thank you for sharing your research.

For any who are unfamiliar with the quality of photos that we are discussing, here is an example of the clarity:

This is a closeup image of KOMABA crater, though it's nothing compared to what they must have.

It is nice to have your assitance in trying to wade through the blurry images the public has been offered -

Best regards,

Jackie

OK Jackie,
Tell me what you see in this photo? (and in the other one if you search for the crater name on Jaxa site)

I see lots of things, but I do not want to sound too weird and embarass myself. I am the newbie here! :-)

Hey Q -

No worries on sounding weird here - Weird just means unusual, and that's what catches our interest, to be sure!

Hmmm, on closer inspection, it looks almost like there are a couple of fossils in these rocks. Is that what you see? I am a bit tired tonight, but I will post the second pic you mention.

I really do welcome your insight, Q, and thanks for your words. Like a Star @ heaven

Hmm.... fossils. Is that what you call them? :-)

I am still trying to get a 'feel' for this forum and so I dont want to overstep the mark. If no-one else says anything controversial, then I will not either. BUT, I am not going to be the first one - out of respect for your forum.

We can talk around the subject all day, speculate how in some distant past there may have been water on Mars but what we need is for someone to actually say "I think this is showing a ....." and then give their reasons why they think that. Equally, if you want us to discuss rilles and orthodox features, and how lunar science thinks they are created, then that is the 'character' of the forum. It is not up to me to push the boundaries or make it what it isn't. You wont scare me away by suggesting that a rock is really a gigantic hot dog with onion dripping from the sides.

Ha! Good points, Q!

I guess it comes down to perspective. To say there are hot dogs with onions in this pic certinly wouldn't scare me away, either. Cool

I am far more attuned to the auditory parts of life, so the visual intricacies often stump me. Perhaps another, more discerning eye will jump in the water here?

Copernicus, perhaps you will offer a thought as to what may be hiding in plain sight in this pic?

I do appreciate your respect for the board, and I do understand you are learning how things go here. If you see life in this pic, or the potential for something - You are absolutely free to say what you wish. Like many of us, there is a long road of questions that led me here - I hope to learn from each person that shares a perspective on this board.

Spectulation is what drives the search forward, and an observation you make might help someone (like me, ha!) see another level of possibility. Perhaps you could share a hint of what you see for the sake of the visually challenged such as myself?

Best regards to you, Q!

Hi Jackie,

Just a note of clarification here... the images here are from the Hayabusa spacecraft and are of the surface of the asteroid Itokawa.

I am not a "rockhound" and haven't noticed anything odd in the images, other than they seem to have been sharpened.
I am hoping that Q will give us a hint! Very Happy

Thanks for the clarification on the subject of this photo, C! Sorry about the confusion I caused here, but I didn't notice that it was a potato shaped asteroid that the crater was located on and not a crater on the moon! However, there are so many possibilities regarding this as well as some lunar pics, I would like to continue this conversation rather than pull the image.

Doing a search for 'aliens' on the forum does not yield anything other than orthodox thinking, hoaxes, and newspaper articles copied in their entirity. If you want people to speculate on what they see, you will have to lead the way with your own speculations and evidence. I see no opinions or speculations from members about what visual artifacts may be or where they may come from, I only see purely objective information given in response to queries. You seem rather reluctant to make these kind of comments, so, I will start a new topic and see what we get and we can go from there.

The premise for this website originally was "Just the facts"...Information, sources cited, and the conclusions reached would be those of the reader, more often than not. Nothing prevents people from sharing ideas and discussion, of course. There has always been the hope that readers would go on to share their opinions on the information posted, as well as posting what they may find.

Much serious - and comical - discussion has and does happen off-site by other means from time to time. Perhaps more conversations regarding theories and evidences will begin on this site now that you have suggested it.

Thanks, Q!

Jackie
