Questions arise over the creation and meaning of this strange and beautiful structure located in the midst of a rather barren desert. Could it be some strange creation of a former civilization, or is it a natural formation?

The Richat Structure is a huge crater-like fomation in the Sahara desert. This feature has generated interest for years since it has such an unusual appearance and the way it has formed has been something of a mystery in a mostly desolate area. The structure has a diameter of approx 50 kilometres (31 mi)
