Here’s 3 interesting videos… do you think this is meteors? Or space debris? The third one has the best details…

Meteors?? Space Debris?? Or something else... Empty Re: Meteors?? Space Debris?? Or something else...

I have watched these videos several times in a row, and first, let me thank you for adding them. As to what the first object is, I can say that if we can rule out reflections on glass from a light source behind the person recording, then I would say this does not look like something on fire (no smoke or trailing bits). There is something being ejected on either side of a bright object. Also, the shape of the lines of ejectus remind me a little of that odd vector shape Luna made a video about. Not the same, of course.

The second video is in the final stretch of a controlled dive, or so it looks.

The third video really made me look twice. It looks almost like a hand reaching toward the ground! If it were on fire, would we not see debris and a smoke cloud?

Very interesting post, my friend!

I agree with your assessment, Jackie. I've seen plenty of meteor and bolide photos, and they certainly didn't look like these! The 3rd one sure looked weird, didn't it!

Meteors?? Space Debris?? Or something else... Empty Very interesting..............

On the third video.......

Does anyone know what asteroid or other natural occurring object has the chemical makeup to create the kind of trail it showed in the video?

Quite a while back, I heard an astronomer mention the makeup of some asteroids would make them extremely "durable" coming in to Earths' atmosphere. Something to do with "heavy" elements in their makeup.....

The other thought was a large spy satellite? Many of them had atomic power plants to provide electricity for their operation. Shielding certainly would be dense and probably heavy. Can't have radioactive signals crowding out the signals you're spying on!....

Or, maybe there are more significant "heavenly bodies" floating about than the good astronomers know about? Wouldn't want folks to think you weren't clueless! Then they might think you wouldn't be as sure as you are saying you about what might come down......

Gotta run and cool my over-active imagination down!!! bounce

Here's another video that's similar to the first couple...

Pretty obviously a jet contrail, I'd say...

Meteors?? Space Debris?? Or something else... Empty I agree...

Howdy C!

I'd need convincing evidence to believe they are other than jet contrails, too.

Once again, low resolution video has me thinking that the effects seen might be mis-interpreted by some....

Oh well, another mystery not so!

Cheers, Rick :-)
