Apollo 8 pic anomolies

What do you think? Are these bits of 'debris' or anomolies depicted in the photos?

I have just started looking at this series - Any thoughts would be appreciated!

These look like typical root structures, dont they?
It IS possible that other beings could be intelligent plant life (triffids?) and John Wyndham Parkes Lucas Beynon Harris may have had some inside knowledge (as I reckon many sci-fi writers have)

Just how mobile they might be, we would have to find out. :-)
On the other hand, it could be some desert plant got stuck in the film canister.

Unfortunately most of these are explainable... The most noted is the bright specular areas in earths own shadow... Thats simply city lights ... Other things are are based around imaging artifacts like dust, thread etc... Sorry. Just not strong enough to warrant the implied status. Interestingly, the images you have shown are actually pictures of pictures, shot on a copy stand. The photographer had very poor imaging cleanliness standards to boot. Some of the internegs also were poorly handled.

I dare say that the observant TheWatcher probably is most spot on for the analysis. Too bad there weren't some early, high quality prints to bump these photos up against from the same negs.

Guess that is why looking is so long and tedious......:-)
